Change vs. Transformation

Change vs. transformation

We women grow out of the need to prove our worth as we come to know our worth. So rather than changing the outside factors—job, relationship, and status—we begin to focus first on redefining who we are at our core. The greater our inner authority, the more life beckons us with opportunities to express our greatness. As you progress on the Journey, you will move from the limited definition of yourself based on your ego (roles, beliefs, negative judgments) to a more integrated, heart-centered, confident woman who feels a sense of belonging in the world. Spiral Up is the yellow brick road from where you are to where you really want to be.

Inspiration: “The aim of life is self-development. To realize one’s nature perfectly – that is what each of us is here for.”

- Oscar Wilde, Irish Novelist and Poet (1854-1900)

Sorry, no quick fixes

Transformation rarely happens overnight; it is the result of building congruency between our heartfelt intentions and our thoughts, words, feelings, and actions on a daily basis. It took us years to become the way we are—how we behave and react to life’s challenges. So while we've all looked for quick fixes to problems, they rarely work—reverting back to our hard-wired selves, we usually end up repeating the same mistakes or engaging in the same self-defeating behaviors. Instead, we need to learn to walk our talk, boldly, passionately and respectfully, as the divine selves that we are.

Just like the most important cycle of human creation, the Spiral Up Process takes nine months to complete. It’s thorough, engaging, and challenging. Research has shown that in order to change a habit we need to perform a new behavior at least twenty-one times. The Journey consists of a set of inspiring and useful lessons, exercises, daily practices, and journaling delivered in bite size pieces designed to fit seamlessly into your busy schedule.

We recommend you spend two weeks on each workbook of the Journey. The content is rich, and every time you review it, you'll come away with something new. Don’t think of it like a book where you want to get to the end quickly. The more you savor each step, the more you'll benefit.

Raise your expectation of joy

If you take the time to fully participate, you will likely experience a level of satisfaction and joy that exceeds all expectations. Wendy’s clients know that the Spiral Up Process takes courage and dedication. But as one woman reminds us, “After working with Wendy’s process for six months, I see, speak, and act in ways that are more authentic, compassionate, and truly powerful. The information kept me focused and grounded in the positive aspects of who I am and what I bring to the world. Today, I am empowered to create my life afresh, in every moment.”

Inspiration: “We must use time as a tool, not as a crutch.”

- John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States (1917-1963)
